United Way 2011–12 Community Impact Fund investment process
The 2011-12 Community Impact Fund process is complete. After difficult decisions, our volunteers have awarded Community Impact Fund grants for 2011-12. Click here to see the grants for each focus area. Click here to see the list of organizations awarded grants.
You will receive your grant detail soon. We are working to provide additional feedback on your program’s performance in the site visit process through the ODM.
Because of the timing of the grant announcements and the significant changes in year-over-year grant amounts, the United Way Board is using funds from its reserves to provide agencies whose grant awards were reduced by 15 percent or more.
You may update your contact information at any time by logging onto the ODM (Online Database Manager). For instructions on how to set-up your computer prior to accessing the database,

On May 10 and May 11 United Way board members held briefing sessions for our nonprofit partners currently receiving grants.

Outcome measurement resources
At United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta, we believe that evaluation is a method for not only measuring the impact we have on the community, but also for learning where we can improve our efforts. With this in mind, we have established a set of expectations for grantees around conducting evaluations and reporting results. We also offer a variety of measurement supports that are meant to strengthen grantee's capacity.
Investment Assessment Report
This year United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta implemented strategic changes to the 2011-2012 Community Impact Fund investment process. We appreciate your patience during the implementation of the new investment model.
The changes implemented by Board members and volunteers were essential to keep United Way nimble, focused and effective in making a strong impact in our focus areas, particularly given limited funds.
As you also know, we recently completed an assessment of the 2011-2012 investment process. And, as promised, we are sharing a summary of the findings. To view the full Investment Assessment Report, click here.
